OMG - this was probably the most abysmal episode ever on friends. What happened to high-maintenance Monica? The way she treats Chandler (and Phoebe for that matter) is in no way excusable!
So he smoked again - So what? He doesn't deserved to be treated with such utter disrespect just for breaking out an old overcome habit. Before he enters the appartment (as he talks to Phoebe) he is actually _afraid_ of seeing his wife - and rightly so as the ensuing few minutes prove.
What has become of (Har)monica? First she doesn't go to Tulsa with him, because she has an offer for a better job. While that is still something one would understand, in the following episodes she actually thinks her husband is turned on by sharks, she forgets that he is not around, and finally after bashing him hard for smoking, she tricks him into bed, just to tell him off afterwards again, all for the selfish purpose of getting pregnant. At the same time she fully disregards her friends wish to have a birthday dinner together.
What a BITCH!
This show is really going down the drain fast! Almost all characters are mere spitting images of themselves - Rachel the overprotective ridiculous MOTHER (in capitals), Ross - well I guess his development has been covered enough in this newsgroup, Chandler - some guy who doesn't seem to have the least self-respect or stamina (as might have been proven by standing up to his boss in NY or Monica in the last ep.).
I would say the only one who is still true to himself is Joey.
Dammit! As much as I'd like to see this show going on forever - if this is how it's going to be then please please make it stop after this season is over (Too bad they didn't tie the strings in the last season). Let me remember friends as a funny, sometimes melancholic but always enjoyable show about people I myself would like to be friends with, not about a bunch of jerks who don't know how to behave.
