State of the revolution address
(Enters to address the combined C&M congress)
Friends, neighbors, and fellow C&Mers:
It has been two years since the seeds were sown (pardon the pun) that grew into the C&M revolution that we all know and love. We have reaped the benefits of the revolution. Seeing our beloved show return to being a more centered inclusive show than it was under the previous regime, and now, after a long excrutiating wait for the rest of the world to catch up with our forward thinking selves, we have finally reaped the rewards so well deserved after our long patience; the C&M engagement.
(waits for the applause to die down)
But even as we bask in the glow of victory, we must remain vigilant.
Firstly, we must never forget the dark days under the previous regime when we and the P&Jers were marginalized to make room for the others. We must learn from their mistakes and strive to keep the show balanced and healthy so that all may enjoy their favorite characters equally.
Secondly, now that we have gotten the recognition so long denied us we must strive to maintain what we have earned and not see our favorite couple go the way of that other couple, to make it clear we do not want a return to that type of storyline. We must make writers see the folly of their ways and broaden their horizons to include different storylines than those they are used to. I challenge this congress to go out and make known what it is that we want
Lastly we must be magnanimous in victory. We must stretch our hands out to the other fans out there. To build bridges to the 21st century. Bridges that will see the show through the next two years with quality stories, and quality storylines not just for C&M but for the others too, to the P&J'ers and even the R&R'ers so together all six characters will flourish and prosper. Barbara: well peter i thought it was one of his better speeches though fairly short
Peter: Yes, barbara no more than five minutes. Really only touching on three key points, storyline reform, maintaining the current C&M storyline, and multilateral fan inclusion
Barbara: The last bit was fairly out of character for him extending olive branches not just to the R&Rers but to publicly acknowledge the P&Jers
Peter: Certainly they have long been ignored by both sides of the couples debate. And now we wait for the R&R response live from the R&R headquarters
