Worse bit in Friends

Hi

We've done the best moment, now for the worse bit. For me it was in Ep 613 TOW Rachel's Sister where Monica has been sent home from work sick, and she won't accept that she IS sick. All the scenes where this is played out make me cringe.

I'd have to think about it for a minute, but I always cringe when Ross says "I take the Rachel" at his wedding to Emily. I just feel bad for the guy.

What about characters you don't like? You know, like those boyfriends or girlfriends who appear in a couple of shows and then are gone. My pet hate is Paolo. Man, that guy! And Richard (big tree) Burke!

I still can't believe he did that!! How stupid!! And people feel sorry for him?? Obviously he doesn't love Emily as much as Rachel so he shouldn't have asked to marry her!

I think the worst idea was to have ross and Rachel get married while they were drunk, and then get divorced. Two divorces were bad enough to give Ross, but three is cruel. They could have done a similar storyline with Ross and Rachel sleeping together while they were drunk, and it wouldn't have been so bad. Ross telling Phoebe that he didn't get the annullment was just wierd! He seemed psychotic! And the chance that the marriage could've been annulled instead of having to get a divorce was ruined by Rachel being petty. She should have known better than to have pulled a stunt like that on a legal document! Let her get back at him some other way, but for God's sake, she's not stupid enough to have done what she did!

I'm torn between

1. The frequent overuse of that tired old outburst, "oh my god!" or "oh my god, ...." The overuse of "ooh" followed by some line, done in couplets - the first one nurturing, the second one sarcastic - in some season 3 episodes was postively benign compared to this. I swear, if I hear one more "oh my god" ... shoes are gonna fly.
