Does anyone know when the expected release date of Season 8 is?

Not sure, but it usually comes about a month or two after the rebate offer for the prior season expires. For example, season 6's mail in rebate offer expired in March, and season 7 was released in April. Season 7's expires in July, so I would predict Season 8 sometime in August.

Not before milking even more from the finale itself. There is a Friends book scheduled to be released on 7 May followed on the 11th with a dvd featuring the pilot and finale that's already ranked # 3 for DVDs on Amazon online. $$

WTF? Do you mean available to buy in stores? You can rent the season eight and nine DVDs from Blockbuster.
