Guys-

This isn't going to work. There's no guarantee the post one appends their name to will be the same one that the next person will also append their name to.

In other words, we will have many posts with many names on them, none of them identical. Server lag, carelessness, etc etc etc will produce many copies of this "database" you're trying to develop.

That's just a quick list from the headers, as I don't have the time to do anything definitive - but anyway, that's 611 different names.

What would "really really long" mean? If the thread had continued with people just adding names, then as #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 are added, the total posted goes 1+2=3, +3=6, +4=10, +5=15, and so on.

When the 611th name is posted, the total so far reaches 186,966 !

The list was generated from the headers - the algorithm found postings from "Adeline" and "Gossy" so it put the names together. Is your brother ?

Like I said, nothing like a week's work, more like half-an-hour to adapt an existing routine, then ten minutes to produce a neat list.
