Chandler and Monica

I seem to recall an interview where one or more of the show's producers discussed their reluctance at the end of Season Four as to whether Chandler and Monica should get together. Am I imagining this or is there an interview out there where I could read their opinions? Is it mentioned in the 'Best of Friends' DVDs? Apparently they thought the relationship might not be accepted by the viewers and went so far as to do surveys to find this out. By the way, one of my biggest pet peeves about the show is the WAY it did happen. It seems to me those two had been close for a long time and to throw them together without any romance was really sad.

Heh, you have a point. But going the romance route with C&M would undoubtedly have attracted much criticism, and comparisons with R&R. I personally am glad we were spared that. So, yeah, I'm a sucker for romance, but I did fine without ''The R&R Redux.''
