SPOILERS.......

Finally, we got a better episode tonight. Phoebe was just great, it's so nice to see her have her own plotline instead of just being around for comic releif. As for Ross still seeing his pediatrician, that was just creepy and really really weird. He must be nearing his mid-30s by now and I swear he gets dumber each season, but I don't know exactly what the logic in having him still see a children's doctor was. Rachel was very cute getting fired by her doctor for harassing him over every little baby thing. The Monica and Chandler Tulsa thing was very sweet until she found a job she likes in NYC better than her husband apparently. Still this episode definetly is an improvement over the last two.

I couldnt disagree more! I loved the last two, and while in this episode, I loved Phoebe's storyline, and Rachel's obsession with the doctors, I HATED the Tulsa plot. It is a stupid and formulmatic way the cheaply wrap up the series!

I agree with you Mike, the Tulsa plot is stupid. I know people will slam me for this, but I don't like it when someone bad mouths a town that I know isn't backwoodsy, it stereotypes incorrectly. I did see something funny though that I thought I would share...while driving home from work in the 5:00 traffic that was actually as usual turning into 6:30 traffic on a six-lane highway in the middle of downtown Oklahoma City I saw this car with luggage on the roof of the car going towards the turnpike which goes to Tulsa...It had NEW YORK plates.....I had to laugh...the guy looked totally confused and dazed...looking at a map....trying to find his exit.....I thought geez I hope that's not Chandler...;)

Anyway it was a little funny...

Most doctors aren't JUST pediatricians anymore; they treat both the children and the parents. At least MY family doctor does, who's treated my family for almost 30 years. If Ross thinks the doctor is good, then why should he change? Because there's Where Waldo's books in the waiting area?

He should change because he is a 30 something man, and the doctor's speciality is pediatric medicine obviously. Time for Ross to grow up some.

Didn't Ross see a regular doctor when he had that unidentifiable mole cluster or whatever it was? I suppose he could have seen the pediatrician off camera, but it certainly seems odd for someone who: a) fancies himself a scientist; and b) has been shown going to a "grown-up" doctor when he had a medical problem before to suddenly be using a pediatrician as his primary care.

Oh, wait, this is "Friends." The show where the writers arbitrarily rewrite the character of Ross when they're short of a few laughs.

Yeah, but I don't think they do this on purpose. Do you actually think they remember something that happened like six years ago? Sure, we remember these things because we watch all the reruns and stuff, but the writers don't have time and more importantly; they can't obsess about stuff that happened in season threee. They have to always think new and come up with new storylines. I also don't think they care if they go against a rather forgetable plot that happened six years ago. If they were always obsessing about continuety they wouldn't be able to come up anything.

I see your point and I do think they sometimes are a little too forgetful, but as long as they don't do stuff that go against a MAJOR storyline (like if they forgot Ben's name or that Phoebe has a twin sister), it's really not that big of a deal.

It's not a big deal, but honestly it seems like Ross often beats Joey as the dumbest one in the group, and Joey's stupidity is part of his charm, on Ross it just seems out of place for someone who has earned a doctorate.

I couldn't disagree with you more on everything you said. They are the writers for goodness sake! The writers! The past few seasons have made me very upset with them. How should it be "okay" that WE the viewing public no more about the characters and their lives than the writers?? That is 100% wrong and probably why the last few seasons have gone downhill IMO. If everything was more continuous and in keeping with the characters and their lives, every year, i believe that I would, personally, enjoy the show more and not be confused and frustrated with the writers many times.

The writers came up with these characters, they should know them inside-out. Forgetfulness?? We remember, don't we? Are they a lower class of human beings who can't remember as much as we(Friends watchers and fans)?

Writers are losing their creativity...thats sad. Very sad especially when I look back on seasons 1-3(and probably 4). When seasons 5-8 are on reruns, most of the time I skip them. I am afraid I see no future for Friends after season 9. And I didn't really see a future after season 8 but I really love these characters and thats why I keep watching. And sometimes they throw in some laughs...
