Courteney obviously has no idea what so ever on how to hold a baby. Even I know how to hold one and I'm not a woman. But then she is just a hollywoodland mother, and poor little Coco is probably just some sort of fashion statment.

Chrissie....I'm still here. Just busy and don't get to visit her as much as I used to, but you still haven't explained why you think she was holding the baby badly. Needs to be facing inward? Makes no sense to me. I've held my babies in what could be considered strange ways while they were little, except for when they were tiny. My grandson is 8 mos old and I hold him on my hip facing toward me, facing outward, body on my right or left shoulder facing backward, many ways. It's a mother thing. A mother knows how to hold their child (or grandchild) safely and securely without fear of dropping the baby. ~~~ Kathy

Primates instinctively cling to the adult/person holding them, hence they should be held inward, the child can then see forward or rearward, and to the left/right, and look at the person holding and react to them while having a natural grip on the person holding them should they persons grip fail. You never see chimps holding their baby outward, so that should tell you something.
