They did this to give the cast, writers, etc of the show the week of for Thanksgiving. They must have taped the next new show TOW Monica's boots the week before Thanksgiving. I can't really be mad about the rerun because I were them I wouldn't want to work the week of Thanksgiving!!

True, but they actually get an entire week off each month. They film three episodes per month. And they don't even work Mondays! So they really actually work 12 days out of a whole month. That's just the cast, though - the production staff (i.e., writers, editors) doesn't get a week off each month.
