It woudl seem weird to have Ross spell her name wrong concidering they are all really close and it isn't that hard to spell. It only takes one time to be spelled wrong for them to get it write. Nope, sorry. The cast is listed at the beginning of the scripts, but they're just listed like:

Rachel...................................Jennifer Aniston
Monica...................................Courteney Cox Arquette

and etc., without characters' surnames. If you want to see how surnames are spelled, you have to look inside the script and see when they're called by their surname in a scene, like when a character actually says "Dr. Green." (Otherwise he's just referred to as "Leonard" throughout the script.) So since those surnames you're asking for were never mentioned by characters in any episodes, they're not going to be in the scripts either.

Well, "Raj" does actually mean King. When used in the historical past, Raj was used for both the ruler, and the ruling group. Consequently, in recent times, the British ruled, and then India gained independence. So, they still refer to the government as the "Raj".

A quick history lesson, that is to brief to be truly accurate, but the meanings of the words are!

My only point was that the word is used in India for both the ruler andthe ruling group. It looks like you were using an English dictionary. In Hindi, there is no notion of capitalization. The word does not change meaning like that. As your dictionary pointed out, there is a slightly different pronunciation, but that is cosmetic in Hindi as well. You see, in Hindi, all letters have the short "a" sound associated with them, unless a notation is written next to the letter. So, if the last letter in a word is left un-noted, it can be pronounced with a short "a" sound, or not. Thus, most words (like Raj) have had this last sound dropped off. A word can be given emphasis by forcing a strong "a" sound at the end (like in Father). Thus, "Raj" can become "Raja". This brings the notion of two meanings, especially when looked at from another culture. In general, "Raj" has come to be reserved for the ruling party or group, whereas "Raja" has come to depict the actual king. But, like I said, this is cosmetic and the actual source of the two words are the same.

In English, though, "the Raj" is definitely "government", because it denotes the period of British rule, differentiating between the two cultures and working as shorthand for history. They've had a slightly mixed reception - Asians I know absolutely adore them, as does most of the rest of the population - except the Church of England which got huffy about a sketch that involved the Eucharist, and got it pulled from the repeated episode.
