A check on "Courteney+pregnant" turned up the following article by Lucy Barrick in last December's Guardian (a British newspaper)...

Courteney Cox in "I'll Be Home For Christmas" (Marvin J. Chomsky, 1988)

Who?: The skinny brunette from "Friends", Cox is (unless you count Matthew Perry in "Fools Rush In", which you probably shouldn't) the only cast member who managed to get herself a decent film career, having starred in "Scream", "Scream 2" and, yes, the upcoming "Scream 3". As well as bolstering her not insubstantial TV earnings, the horror trilogy also saw Cox meet her now husband, David Arquette. Her main problem remains persistent rumours of anorexia in the press, chit-chat she recently denied with the remark "I don't think I'm too thin at all. I understand when people say 'your face gets gaunt' but to get your bottom half to be the right size, your face might have to be a little gaunt."

The role: Nora Bundy, wife of the Bundy clan's favourite son Michael, who's off fighting in WWII. This being nothing more than a urban version of "The Waltons", only longer, Nora is pregnant and can't wait to give up her job as a piano teacher to look after her husband when he returns.

Best Line: Returning to the Bundy family home, she tells her brother-in-law - who is trying to help her up the stairs - "I may waddle like a duck but I can still walk by myself."

Cringe factor: Apart from the obvious pillow-up-the-jumper "pregnancy", her performance doesn't stand out as being any worse than the rest of the cast.

Other wannabes: Peter Gallagher, he of the ever-twitching eyebrow and roles in "The Player" and "While You Were Sleeping", appears briefly as a soldier.

Also not starring in: Daytime soap "As The World Turns" as Bunny in 1984, and alongside He-Man and Skeletor in the live action version of "Masters Of The Universe" in 1987.
