melon stuff

what is the melon stuff that Rachel left? Was it some kind of alcholic?

The context of the scene makes it clear that it is an alcoholic beverage. Since pregnant women are usually advised not to drink, I assume it would be left over from pre-conception days.

Anyway, it looked like Midori, a melon-flavored liqueur. Sweet liqueurs are usually considered "women's drinks," which would also fit the scene, with Joey grimacing and Ross concealing his enjoyment of it by pretending to dislike it as well.

I thought it was probably midori too, but the bottle looked different.

DeKuyper is a Dutch company well known for alcoholic beverages, especially it's egg liqueur -- at least in Germany. I'm surprised they're selling their stuff in the US too. I thought Vodka, Martini and Whiskey were all foreign alcoholics you had ;-). Is Berentzen available either?

For some alcohol you have to go to specialty stores. It also depends on the city, and state in which you live/visit. I had a terrible time finding Rose's lime juice in Kansas, and that's not even alcohol, but it's typically only used in alcoholic beverages. In Kansas you can't buy alcohol and non-alcohol mixes in the same store. Stupid law, but that's the way it is.
