I can't remember the way this began or finished, but it was a quote from Monica when she was laying out everyone's faults. It goes something like this:
M pointing to Rachel: "You left a man at the altar" M pointing to Joey: "You threw a girl's wooden leg into a fire" M pointing to Ross: "You married a lesbian"
Would someone please provide me with the full *correct* quote? I'd really appreciate it...I know at one point and time someone had it as their sig, but I can't remember who it was!

Ah - let's stop right there. Chandler didn't have Ross, but how can you say that Chandler didn't have Phoebe?
I know why you say that - Chandler asked Phoebe if she had Rachel - but that doesn't mean that he didn't have Phoebe, because if they did swap, he would no longer have Phoebe.
If we assume that Chandler did have Phoebe, then either Monica or Rachel would have Chandler, so Chandler & Phoebe couldn't swap, but the crucial point is that CHANDLER DOESN'T KNOW THAT, all he knows is that he picked Phoebe in the draw. Chandler hasn't done the analysis that we have.
WHY wouldn't he have asked her? He just wanted to know who had Rachel.
If we assume he did have Phoebe, he still wouldn't know who Phoebe had.
No, as far as Chandler is concerned, Phoebe would then have Chandler, which if you work it out is not right, but Chandler hadn't worked it out, which means that the swap can't happen without some other swaps, it doesn't mean that Chandler can't have Phoebe in the first place.
The whole basis for saying that Chandler can't have Phoebe because he wouldn't have asked her, comes from our analysis of the situation. But Chandler didn't analyse the situation, all that he knew was who he was supposed to give a gift to and that he'd already bought one for Rachel.
So we can't assume that Chandler didn't have Phoebe.
