'Friends,' Taking the Bitter With the Sweet

Like "very delicate china speeding toward a brick wall of inevitable pain," the cast of "Friends" is heading toward the show's final episode, star Jennifer Aniston told TV critics at Winter Press Tour 2004 on Tuesday. She did not explain how delicate china would be speeding toward a brick wall, but it seemed to impress the crowd mightily during the Q&A session on the set of "Friends."

Jeff Zucker, head of NBC Entertainment and so much more, stopped by to deny a report that the network had offered each "Friends" cast member $2 million for a reunion special to air a year from now. "There is no truth to that whatsoever," he said. "I am here to offer them $4 million apiece," he said, calling this an "incredibly exciting but sad time."
