910 Comments: Best clip show ever

This last season of the show is turning out to be very impressive. A good indication is how even when they do a clip show, the little original content was strong enough that it could have easily been developed into an episode on its own. The flashback clips, by comparison, seemed hardly relevant. Ever since Chandler was "transferred" to Oklahoma in the first place, it's clear the writers were introducing the idea of an irritant that might logically develop into a big problem in their marriage. The disappointing thing is that this idea was not played out further. It seemed like within minutes of the meeting with his staff having started, Chandler gave up and sent everybody home. Furthermore, he did not even think of succumbing to temptation with his beautiful co-worker. What if Chandler's workers are so upset they start acting up and no work is getting done. He freaks out, starts screaming at them and threatens to fire them all. Then, in a moment of reflection, he sees what a awful person he has turned into and the absurdity of this job that keeps him separated from his wife. He confesses his frustration and loneliness to his seductive underling who makes a pass at him. He, momentarily at least, does not reject her. This is the final straw. He sees how horrible circumstances have become and how far he as fallen, so he quits. This leads to a big emotional reunion as he rushes to Monica at home. A good episode made better, if I do say so. Just in passing, Phoebe's lighter hair color in this episode made her look at least five years younger. By contrast, Rachel, with her hair tied back and plain complexion looked almost matronly. You'd think for a million bucks, she could've spent a few more minutes in makeup.

The title "best clip show ever" is akin to calling someone the "cutest ugly person ever".

They had, what, about 6 minutes of new dialogue? So did the actors get $1M each for this piece of crap or was this one a freebie for the network?
