First, you are the only musician that I know of that used synthesized sound from live recordings to structure sound.
Here's the idea, the speed of sound varies through the skull, brain, and fluids that the cavity of the brain. If you use the right waveform and take advantage of the doppler effect, then you can aim sounds at specific areas of the brain. This can cause a few neurons to fire. So, my idea encorporates ultrasonic sounds, {detailed wave shaping} The attack, sustain, decay, or reverb, can all be toyed with as much as you want and not effect the manufactured waveform. The manufactured waveform takes the sinewave out, triangle wave out, and square wave out. There would be simulated waveforms that would appear distored and still sound most like the three main waveforms. In essense, the speed of sound through the human skull is so fast that it's an ultrasonic frequency, and would only place changes in the waveform that rides on it. What it would do is target the hypothalamus from several angles, bottom left, and bottom right of the base of the skull, front right and left of the front of the skull, the left and right sides of the skull, and the top to bottom. It would divide up the skull into several parabolic sound focusing elements based upon the physical structure of the skull. The HYPOTHALAMUS is the PLEASURE CENTER OF THE HUMAN MIND. Therefore, if any music is going to be more mellodramatic, appealing, or emotional, it will take some time, but not impossible, nor improbable.
