Birthday partys

Why have the group never celebrated Monica or Chandler's birthday? They seem to be constantly throwing parties for Rachel, they planned a whole big thing for Ross, they threw a big-ish party for Joey, they even threw one for Phoebe! I know that Monica can never really organise her own surprise party, but what do they have against Chandler?

The thing is, they *do* celebrate the other birthdays, we just don't know about it. Remember that on average we see less than 15 seconds per day of these people's lives.

If every birthday was celebrated on the show, that would consume a quarter of all the episodes, so we get a party when the story demands it, otherwise we don't. Mind you, Monica & Chandler were both born in April, so maybe we'll see a combined stag night/baby shower/birthday party one day. ;-)
