They mean the fridge in Monica's apartment and the fridge in Joey's apartment (two different fridges), so basically they should have written "Monica's and Joey's refrigerators" instead of "Monica and Joey's refrigerators" ... that little missing 's implies dual ownership of refrigerators instead of personal ownership of two separate refrigerators. And that is the grammar lesson for today.
