I am right with ya. I really would like to see Ross and Rachel get hitched. In a way the writers might cook something up during the wedding, I mean maybe after Ross and Rachel are watching Mondler get married, they may realize that they too want to spend their life together as much as Mondler do.

Who knows? But I am still disappointed at the fact Mondler are getting married instead of R&R. I rather see R&R live happily together for the rest of their lives, they have an actual past.

yup.....One other thing: (Chandler and monica fans, please don't kill me) Does it *bother* anyone else that the writers just *created* a past for C and M after they decided to get them together. It is very unsettling to me. I mean, when the show was created, the r and r thing was a MAJOR factor in the whole show--for 3 1/2 years in fact. It really disturbs me that the writers *just decided* to give c and m a past. It's like the writers got together and said, "Oh, ok, well... ross and rachel have an actual history (that is an intracite part of the show) maybe we should just make a history for c and m. Let's just write a storyline about them meeting at a thanksgiving dinner and have monica fall deep in love with him after 1 hour." It's really disturbing to me. Anyone else?

Sorry C & M fans, I don't like to make anyone mad but I agree also. Please don't kill me! :) Haven't you also noticed how R & R's past has been treated as insignificant? But I better shut up before I start a rant!

but don't you see they did have a small history? when they met in Thanksgiving, she didn't fall in love with him, and he didn't with her, they had a crush on each other. and all the signs were there for getting together. They are best friends, and to me it's obvious that Chandler has liked Monica for a long time before they got together but didn't make a show of it like Ross did. If you think about it, Chandler offered to have children with her, even though it was only as a best friend, do you know of any of your best friends offering to have a kid with you cause you wanted one? and then there's all that stuff at the beach, he kept going on and on and on and on and on and on! He did like her, but was scared! and London, there was his chance, and he took it. Monica was just like Rachel in the frst season, totally oblivious, but just cause Monica didn't like Chandler back, and mad fun of him when he was going on about being her boyfriend, it don't mean they ain't got none 'istory! there you go I've said what I had to say :) <~~~sits back, bangs here feet on the table four times and smiles, now waits for someone to pull her theory apart :)

I don't know and I haven't figured it out yet but wasn't it originally planned that Monica and Joey were going to hook up? I read that in TVGuide right before Season 3 started.

I mean they sort of have an actual past, remember how it was said that Monica had a crush on Joey and vica versa, then I thought they were really going to hook it up when Joey comforted Monica during the time she wanted to go to the sperm bank to have kids. But that was a big downer.

I mean, there seemed to be nothing there in TOW Flashbacks between C&M (Except the hug) because wouldn't Monica have gone out with Chandler instead of Kip in the first place?

Monica and Joey *were* going to hook up, but the writers changed this into Monica and Chandler about the time that they were shooting the season finale in season 2.

However, ever since that first *real* C+M moment in 123 TOW The Birth, there have been several incidents that ultimately led to the two of them sleeping together in London.

There is of course the flashback-episode (306 TOW The Flashback), but I guess several couples were suggested in that one (Ross+Phoebe, Chandler+Rachel, Monica+Joey, Monica+Chandler).

There was also that one time (322 TOW The Screamer) where Monica is literally lying on top of the guy at Central Perk.. Which really is weird since she was dating Pete at the time.

However, would a best friend obsess over the fact that his best friend wouldn't go out with him (325 TO At The Beach, 401 TOW The Jellyfish)? Chandler spent a lot of time when they were at the beach house trying to make Monica consider going out with him. Sure, he might have been joking around, but by the time they were sitting in Monica's apartment playing cards, he really wanted an answer.

It may be easy to shrug off their history as mere "friendship", but I'm willing to bet quite a lot that the writers were dropping these hints as a way of preparing the viewers for their upcoming relationship.

This doesn't change the fact that Ross and Rachel will always be The Couple on Friends. I was a huge R+R fan in the first 3,5 - 4 seasons, but when they started bickering like kids after their second break-up, I grew tired of them.

If that's true, then why didn't Joey and Phoebe hook up?
