Joey Axed as NBC Unveils Fall Schedule

After months without any official announcement, NBC revealed that Joey has in fact been canceled when it released its 2006-2007 schedule.
The series is expected to air its eight remaining episodes this summer, reportedly two per week on Wednesday nights beginning August 16.

HIMYM is not as funny and original as Friends in its first seasons. But compared to the last several seasons from Friends (S6 and up), it wins hands down IMHO. Mostly because the characters are fresh and storylines haven't been milked out to death, which is why I hope it won't last more than 2 seasons.
Are there any US sitcoms with an average of about 24 eps per season that you think remain interesting after several (about 4) seasons? Let's limit the sitcoms on comedies with a relatively fixed set of main actors.
So far, the only thing I can think of is Scrubs, which has had 5 seasons while the last one was still quite good (except for the silly "gee, we got renewed, let's slap on a cliffhanger!" bit)

It's tough to make a comparison about what's funny and what's not when there's a 12 year difference. I think HIMYM is probably the funniest non-animated show on TV today.
