Actually, one week something went wrong with my recording at home. For a while after that, I would run a copy at home, and a backup copy at work. Then I would ask a few co-workers if they were recording the show, just in case. Covering my bases.

Here's hoping that you don't have any power outages, presidential speeches or late breaking news to disrupt your recording.

Actually the Pres. is supposed to address the nation at 8pm est., so set your VCR accordingly!

I watch the show as it airs and tape at the same time (I want to make sure I have all of the shows from this, their possible last season). I know that it is taping when I see record on my VCR, but I still get scared that something will happen to the recording. I couldn't amagine having to trust a VCR with my favorite show if I am not there to monitor it!

Why does the President like Thursdays??? Always at 8 on Thursdays, damn it!

The last time the Prez addressed the nation Thursday at 8pm it really peeved me. Here we were told to go about our normal lives as much as we could. Well, when the season premiere of Friends came on, that was the first sense of normalcy I had. When the Prez addressed the nation at 8pm that one Thursday, it really irked me. He was messing with my sense of normalcy. And then when you said that today that he would speak again at Thursday at 8pm, I got irked again. I mean, we have the news on at work all day and we see him speaking all day. Can't we have the night off to get away from it all? If I want to watch the horrors of the world, I will turn on the news.

I applaud NBC for doing what they did. It must really mess them up to have to rearrange their schedule and lose ad time. I'm sure they can't afford to have the Prez do this to them once a month.
