"Aunt Rachel"

I saw last night that, at one point, Ben was calling her Aunt Rachel. Doesnt that make it a little confusing for a child when all the sudden his "aunt" has had a child with his father? How are they/did they explain that to Ben?

because Aunt doesnt mean a sibling of your parent necessarily, close friends are often called Aunt and Uncle

I can just about hear Ben explaining it to a friend from school. "This is Aunt Rachel. She used to be my mom . . . not to be confused with my mom or my other mom . . . but now she's just my sister's mother."

right...i understand that...but can you imagine when there is a parents night at school? "this is my dad Ross, and this is my aunt rachel. they had a baby, she is my sister emma" kids dont know any better...i just think it would be funny for them to realize that...

Remember, Ben has also two mothers. Compared to that, the "aunt" thing is probably very easy to explain.
