I wanted to create a new thread to get some feedback from the rest of you Is it just me or does it seem that TV shows in prime time are getting away with a lot now???
As a heavy addict of MAD ABOUT YOU I can pull several refrences from that show You might remember the episode "Bedfellows" When Jamie and Paul are visiting Paul's dad in the hospital, Jamie asks Paul's mom if she wants company for dinner. She says no, so Jamie thinking she can earn some brownie points asks Sylvia if she would like them to spend the night. Sylvia says, "That would be very nice." So Jamie turns to Paul and in a low whisper (but loud mouthing exaggeration) says "SH*T"!
Then there was the episode where Murray (the dog) is sick/depressed and Jamie tries to see if he'll "get the mouse". Jamie goes running from the livingroom toward the bedroom with her head down, pretending to chase the mouse, and runs into a door or wall. She cries out "son of a b*tch!
There was also another episode I believe where she stubbed her toe & mouthed f**k under her breath
And then there is another where Jamie was struggling with her panty hose and in frustration used the word sh*t. If I recall that was the episode where her uncle van dies. Those who have followed Helen's Career are well aware she is a potty mouth & proud of it.
It wasn't just Helen...

Ira asks the girl on the street if she wants "A C*ck or Two'
(not only does he pause between the words but he does say "or")
and gets slapped and
Also he teaches the bird to say "nice *ss"
(which the bird repeats to the British neighbor at the end).So anyway to respond to Wally's question/comment Yah they could have gotten away with that.
It seems to me that the use of some of the more common curse words are popping up more & more on prime time television over these past couple of years.
I know the word "b*tch" was used several times on Dharma & Greg What other shows/scenes can you guys think of that included some colorful dialogue that was shockingly unexpected....
