Seeing Rachel "squeeze a saint bernard out her ass" this evening really got my interest up again for seeing the start of the ninth season. Although the title gives a little bit away, I'm still VERY excited about ep 9-01.
As an aside, what is the deal with banging your fists together? Is that some sort of Italian finger?

When Ross was a kid, he created that gesture. It was his way of giving the finger without actually giving the finger. I'm not sure if an Italian finger is the same as an American one, but the American version means "Fxxx xxU".

In Germany it simply means "Fuck you!" (translated of course) *reconsidering* actually it's more like "Kiss my ass." ("Leck mich [am Arsch]." / "Du kannst mich mal [am Arsch lecken].")

The Italian Finger is putting your fingers (one handed) under your chin and flicking them out, back-handedly, in the general direction of the object of your f-u.
