I haven't read ATF for more than a week and won't read every post since, thus maybe this has been disussed before:
Wasn't that green melon drink drinking by Joey and Ross all about soulmates, too? Joey hates it, but Ross and Rachel both love it. Surely a glimmer of hope for all the remaining R&R fans out there, IMHO.

Um, no. Affeminate (sp?) men are "stereotypically" the only ones that like those fruity drinks. I say affeminate (still don't know how to spell it) for lack of a better word, so don't jump down my throat :). Joey isn't like that, but Ross is more so. Same drink = soulmates? I don't think so.

If this happened in any other episode I'd be totally with you (easy to say that, now), but because this one is about soulmates and was even named after it in the first place, I think it /might/ be a hint and not just for the joke of it.

But to argue along the same lines of the initial post - I'd say Joey and Rachel have a better chance of being soulmates since they can both balance beer cans on their belly, like to throw wet paper towels, love to play drums, both find Citizen Kane boring, Rachel loves soap operas and soap actors :)

A lot of people (maybe even most) lose faith in the concept of a soulmate after getting married. The idea of a soulmate tends to belong to the young who have so much yet to experience. I don't say that negatively. The charms and wonder of a romantic youth leave us far too quickly. I also thought the very same thing when they were drinking the green lime stuff. It was like the producers were sending us a subtle message. (And I still believe they already know how it's gonna end).
