You-know-who was on Friends on Fridays episode, not bad looking, but she seems 6' tall, and I prefer petite women around the same hight as me, and Im JUST 5' 6" tall, and maybe a tad shorter then that.

If you check when she walks in with Phoebe, she looked about an inch shorter than her. Unfortunately though, I don't know how tall Lisa Kudrow is - maybe someone else could help there?

i've checked with the imdb. there they say she's about 5' 9". i don't know how tall that is in cm, but i've read somewhere, that she's about 175-180cm... maybe that helps...

One inch (") is 2.54 cm, one foot (') is 30.48 cm (12 inches), that makes 5'9" to be ~175 cm. Yes, the metric system (aka SI) is much simpler, more logical and more useful.

How's that easier than simply combining standardized decimal prefixes with the base unit? (Okay, there're exceptions like ton and sadly time based units.)

0.001 km = 1 m = 10 dm = 100 cm = 1,000 mm (Continues with ï¿½m, nm, pm, fm and am. dam, hm, Mm, Gm, Tm, Pm and Em are not or seldomly used.)

It especially becomes handy with combined units:

1 l ^= 1 dmï¿½
1 J ^= 1 Wï¿½s ^= 1 Nï¿½m ^= 1 kgï¿½mï¿½/sï¿½
1 Pa ^= 1 N/mï¿½ ^= 1 kg/m/sï¿½; 1 bar ^= 1,000 hPa = 100,000 Pa

Of course US and UK differ and I'm not sure all values are correct. If it was at least straight octal, dodecimal or hexadecimal, but it's all mixed up.

It's plain laziness of those who've already gone through the struggle of learning those strange conversion factors. They had to suffer, so every future pupil has to, too.
