Joey's boat?

What ever happened to Joey's boat? It was named the Mr. Bowmont. The last we heard of it Joey and Rachel went sailing in S& TOW Phoebe's Cookies.

I think he still have it, but doesn't use it anymore!

I've just had a vision:

On a little trip in their boat, Rachel goes into labor and Joey has to deliver her baby in his boat and subsequently *they* decide to name the baby "Bowmont." Awww...lol

I don't think it should necessarily take the name of the mother. My sister had a baby, and was no longer involved with the father so the baby took her last name. I also think that they should talk it over and decide what they want to do. Since they are still friends and Ross will be involved in the baby's life, then they may decide to name it after him.

It's funny you should say that because I too had a similar vision. Rachel would give birth in the lower berth, and in a later episode Joey would explain that he had to sell it because, "well, you know."

I thought of the birth because of the "berth," i didn't know what that was, but i guessed it was a part of the boat. Hey does anybody know if "Bowmont" has any significance?

A berth is a sleeping area on a vessel, usually a bunk or in the old days a hammock, but some have taken it to mean the sleeping compartment. The term applies on trains also.

I've seen the spelling of the boat name two different ways, Bowmont, and Beaumont. Does anyone know the way it's supposed to be spelled on the show? It would help to know for looking up the possible sources.

I think Joey became so enamored with the picture Rachel painted, he never saw the need to change the name.
