Season 8 DVD Extras

Anyone else see the "FRIENDS OF FRIENDS" section of the Season 8 DVDs, particularly the interview with Teri Garr? What was up with that??? She certainly didn't sound happy with her experience there, I don't know why they bothered to include her in that section. Maybe I misunderstood ?

I was surprised how young June Gable looked. I thought Estelle was played by an older woman. I suppose it's a tribute to her abilities as an actress that she could get so completely into that character. Too bad she didn't survive to go to the Joey show. I really don't think that Bobbi is nearly as funny.

Did you catch Courteney Cox's fit in the gag reel? I'm really surprised they left that in. She starts yelling at the director, not wanting to redo a take: "I'd like to take it from the restaurant review thing. I was perfect until then. I really don't know why we have to go back and try everything. I don't want to do it again now." Matt rolls his eyes while she's bitching away, so they start laughing, but she comes off really testy.

However, my biggest complaint about the extras is that the actors don't do commentary tracks. David Crane and Marta Kauffman are okay, but I can't stand Stephen Bright's banal observations and speaking in the collective tense: "We all think this. Everyone can remember a time in their life when - that..." - Yuck! I'd much rather hear any of the six friends talk about a favorite episode.
