Money rules all.......

I don't know if this is true, but I've just read on teletext that the stars of Friends were told that if they didn't accept the new pay deals for seasons 7 & 8, a new cast was to be found to carry it on. I really hope that was just an empty threat to ensure the existing stars remained with the show. However, if it was genuine, if they really meant it, it's very, very, disappointing.

We have been told that NBC was readying promos that billed Thursday's episode as the series finale. They aren't big enough fools to think they can replace the entire cast and have anybody continue to watch.
