Why is he doing this?

I considered posting my opinion on this behaviour/attitude Tennant seems to be developing recently... Then I figured it's a waste of time, since I'm not gonna change anything and can't tell him what I think of that either. So I'll just cut&paste some remarks he made recently for some people to think about...

I wonder if it might be a good time to try resolving some of your issues with Tennant directly through email. If you are sincere about resolving the conflict, I think he would also welcome better harmony in the ng.

Great post, Andre, you don't name call, but you state your opinion - which you're entitled to - and you do it in a dignified manner which leaves you looking both eloquent and mature. Sound.

I have to agree that it's a dicey situation to criticse Tennant in here. I did it a long time ago and was also labelled with the 'troll' status that you've been, and killfiled. Which is a shame because that became more of an issue to me that posting about the actual show.

I remember this NG before the days of Tennant. It was very different. Principally because it seemed to have a much younger user-base than it has now, and therefore was mostly 'hi, I've passed my exams' posts as well as dozens of 'hi, newbie here' posts. I suppose the show being less popular than it once was has changed the overall face of things here. Add to that Tennant's residence and we've got a very different ATF on our hands.

When Tennant first arrived here he/she made a point of being very nice and humble in his postings, although me being the old cynic that I am, I detected a trace of 'wanting to be accepted right away' in his behaviour. Of course I may have been wrong...

I remember fondly the days of Raven, Lee Green (much missed....) and Don & Nise...all mature posters who would argue and disagree and laugh at each other, but ultimately had great respect for the other NG posters regardless of whether they new the show inside and out. I doubt any of them had DVD and I can't imagine them pouring over every single last frame of each episode to prove some pedantic point.

But times change, people move on and NGs rarely stay the same. That being said, it is a shame that people can't disagree with each other, even if it is vehemently, without it being taken personally. Name-calling is a different matter.

I had sent Tennant an email to which he replied that my complete behaviour in here was "troll-like". Obviously I don't agree with that and sent him yet another mail, asking him to stop calling me a troll and a liar, among other things, since these are two things I am most definitely not.

However, he did it again, so I wrote him an email *again*, and I'll also post this mail, just to show that I am actually to work on the problems he has with me and the other way around, whereas he seems to prefer to go on calling me liar... Anyway, here's the mail:
