Very few crop circles of significant size are any mystery at all to military. It's all a part of a training exercise. At one time the mystery was there and did exist. But, once they had actaully approached constructing one, and going undetected, it became an objective and perogative of the military special ops to get into and out of places remaining completely unseen.

I crossposted it last time, but it didn't show up here when it should have.

Well considering it would be regarded as an act of war for a foreign power, or outside forces of any description including ETs to interfere with a nations crops and food supplies without prior agreement, the fact crop circles don't seem to be raising any particular alarm from the UK government or the MOD, in fact quite the opposite the whole thing is marketed as a tourist attraction. It is clear the UK government and the MOD know what is causing crop circles and laughing all the way to the bank.

Considering many of the crop circles show evidence of the stems being microwaved. IMO It seems most likely many are formed using some form of satellite based microwave pulse laser system.

Psychological Warefare is practiced by more than one nation. If it weren't so important to keep you distracted and looking up and around as opposed to current events and politics, you might just show up at a riot or protest. At times, it is artwork, and literally. No need for an act of war, when your own locals are doing the same thing, and it produces the same results. Why invent a new monster, when the old ones are so suspicious looking?

If they could distract 1/3rd of the protestors in France, by playing Starwars episode 3, they might.

But even the editor of "The Skeptical Inquirer" noted, something to the effect, that you can debunk crop circles, Roswell, Area 51, the Bermuda Triangle only so many times.

I gave up on my subsciption, reading the same debunking over and over, because the literate grow tired of this crap and the illiterate will come back, in a couple of years time, always the true believers, having no formal education, but true belief. They will be followed by another generation of the uneducated, vectoring any urban legend, clueless as to science.

I'd like to hear how the aliens got a satellite into orbit without our knowing (hint: we track satellites) and why they use microwaves (umm, they're short doncha'know) and why pulsed (did you mean chemically-pumped?) laser system (a system is better than just the laser alone?)

Anyway, I do not know why this is posted to us.military army, amongst....

....however, my son, Joel, did a bit part in the movie, "Heartbreakers" with Jennifer, and he says she is a nice person, as is Sigourney.

Well yes that's one reason why I think the UK government know what's going on. Particularly since we invented radar and had it up and running in 1939 and being a relatively small island it was strategically very effective against the Germans in the Battle of Britain.

I would imagine given the fact that the UK is a small Island which in the cold war would have been extremely vulnerable to Nuclear attack. I would imagine there has been quite considerable investment in space weapons capable of knocking out Soviet ICBMs and shorter range nuclear missiles and although this is conjecture and guess work (well the details are not exactly public domain) I imagine the UK is one of the most heavily fortified countries on the planet and I think purchasing US Star wars technology not to mention developing our own was one of the deals made between Thatcher and Reagan in the 1980s. Particularly since the UK would have been strategically important in any land based invasion of the USSR and having weapons capable of destroying Soviet ICBMs before they came down would have been the only chance the UK had of surviving a Soviet Nuclear strike.

I don't know the details, the extent of this technology, or how it works, but I do know these things were openly discussed in the 1980s even on the BBC.

Of course I dare say a lot of the technology is still up there. I don't know exactly how it works. But crop circles where it appears the stems have been microwaved and reports from people who say they have witnessed crop circles being created suggest to me some form of pulse laser system involving some form of projection. Well if you can photograph things from space in great detail from satellites, then you can project light beams and even images from space.

I mean I once experimented putting a 135mm lens over a Hanimex 35mm slide projector and was able to focus a very alien looking image of the halogen bulb filament onto clouds :) I daresay people are still talking about that in my old home town LOL The point is though optics are quite old technology and if you can do something like that with nothing more than a simple Hanimex slide projector and an old East German 135mm lens off a 35mm SLR camera, imagine what the military could do with a laser in space.

The reason I say pulse lasers and mention microwaves is because light and electro-magnetism can be focused to a point, also a simple electronic flash gun used in photography demonstrates how a couple of 1.5 volt AA batteries can be made to fire 10,000 volts through a tube containing a gas and create a comparatively vast amount of incandescent light albeit in a small fraction of a second, and that works by charging a capacitor.

Obviously considering practically every home in the West has a Microwave oven, has equipment containing lasers, and at least one compact camera with a built in electronic flash gun, and such technology (some of it spin of technology) has been common since the 1970s (some of it even earlier) It doesn't take much imagination to realise what could be achieved by combining this technologies on a larger scale, and with the recourses available to governments and the military I have little doubt that space weapons are a reality and have been part of defence strategy for decades.

Of course the main problem with lasers in terms of creating a death ray is you need a tremendous amount of energy. However scientists were talking about using pulse technology in the 1970s, but even back then were able to charge capacitors and release more power in a 10,000th of a second than was generated by the entire US national grid. If they were able to do that back then what can they do now? :)

Obviously given the technology and resources that are available to the military, crop circles are what you get when they have too much time on their hands, and massive amounts of redundant coldwar technology floating about in space. :)

Amanda,

You are so intellegent it behoves me to say more. Well, actually, there is more than one way to skin a cat. But, the government doesn't like the ideas that work best with the technology we have available. The reason for that is this, it is indescriminant, and will not distinguish US technologies from Joint Strike Force or any other group. EMP technologies can block or stop any known guidance system. But, when put to use at those output levels do not distinguish between anyone, friend or foe, and just wipe out microchips for the range of the device. That eliminates precision strikes and targeting systems, and with those disabled, more inaccurate methods of targetting are the only means left. As an anti-missile system, it winds up more ideal based upon range and proximity in that you would only have to get withing a quarter mile to take it out, and smaller EMP warheads are already in production. That would make a near miss work as well as a direct hit.

If you remember seeing the patriot missiles when they were fired to take out scuds during the Gulf War, you can see the same idea at work. They fire in front of target, and srapnel is launched towards the oncoming missile. That is why it almost looks like a fireworks rocket with stars. It launches some magnesium flare material with the srapnel to ignite the fuel. If you fly the best part of the shotgun towards the target, the spray of debris and srapnel has a much better chance of stopping the missile, although, it compares to winging a bird.

As far as anyone using microwaves to create crop circles. I'm sure that the FCC would have caught on, and been looking for some-one. I would think that the results had more to do with the time of the year the crop circle was created, and how close or far from seed the crop was. Typically, a seedling, is more flexible, and an adult plant tends to be more brittle. That means that it may bend over and stand back up, or wind up bent like a straw and keep growing, or bent like straw and die, or wind up bent like a trumpet and continue to grow laying down. The buldges that they claim are proof of microwave exposure happen when the crop is bent with a kink like straw, and keeps growing. If you kinked a plant half way up the stock it's more likely to do that because its immature, and the stock is still soft and green. But, when the crop is closer to mature and around 3 weeks from harvest, it just dies as soon as you put a kink in it.

We have the technology, do the research, but seldom believe that our military could ever make any mistakes.

But, they do. http://catless.ncl.ac.uk/Risks/18.25.html#subj1 http://www.zetatalk.com/theword/tword07i.htm

All mistakes typically are tracable, and although I've listed instances of blackouts, that doesn't mean that they are all connected. Furthermore, chasing EMP bomb tests is like chasing a band a gypsys. What you will find is that when you look at the failure of the transmission line, it's either very close to a weapons test range, or a firing range, and if not, then it very well could be just a coincidental failure of the system. When the problem is traced back to a transient surge, that triggers lighting surpressors, then a major substation or transmission will fail, then take out more of the system. So, it takes time to see where and when a failure occures. Also, solar weather can play a key role. Overall, they can be detected if lightining detection systems are encorporated into triangulation of surge sources. That would then center on some place weapons tests do occur. So, it takes more detective work to confirm which are mistakes, and which are failures of the system.
