When they race the wind-up toys, Phoebe calls her bear Alan. Is the fact that she *names* her toy the joke, or does she refer to someone? (or have we misheard her?)

After the episode, my 13 year old who thought the racing was so funny was talking about Phoebe's Alan also. At least that's what he heard.

No it's not really common knowledge, but I've heard about it from a colleague whose wife had this problem.
