Saw an article in the Mirror today (admittedly not the most reliable source), that hinted their marriage was in difficulties.
Does anyone have any more info - like if the rumour is true?

I think it's tabloid crap, as usual. Remember - the Mirror are the ones that came up with the huge story about Matthew Perry urgently needing a liver transplant. What rubbish!

I don't know. From what I've heard about Courteney (and granted it probably isn't as much as a lot of people in this board), she seems like the last person who would be suffering from an over-inflated ego.
Marita wrote:
That is not, in itself, a bad thing. My church *required* counseling sessions before the marriage of any couple getting married. It was to give the partners a chance to understand what they were getting into and what each expected.
That was in one of the US tabloids too, on the cover..The Star I think. Not a good source for news.

Though, I wouldn't doubt it. David Arquette is a bit of a...goofball. I really don't understand how that marriage works. I heard on the radio that (this is a joke, by the way) that the guards at Brad and Jen's wedding weren't there to stop the paparazzi from entering; they were there to stop David Arquette from entering. I also heard somewhere else that DA&CCA's marriage was voted one of the most likely to end in divorce.
Just passing along info. I wish them well.
I think this is all B.S. They have to last for at least a couple of years, every couple in hollywood knows that! And they've only been married for less than a year. Anyways, I personally, think it's all BS, and I hope it is, because I think she is really devoted to him (she even changed her name!) and it would really hurt her. One of the Hollywood gossip guys reported last week that David was seen at a movie theater with another woman, was all over her, and that several patrons were offended by his week's worth of body odor.
On a separate note, I saw a clip of an interview with David himself talking about his next movie, "See Spot Run." He said that he had seen Matthew Perry in "The Whole Nine Yards" and was pretty much stealing Matthew's entire act from that movie for his own movie. He said something like, " That's what I do now, I steal all of his stuff. If he can kiss my wife every week, I get to steal all of his gimmicks."
Didn't seem to be joking, either. It looked to me that clearly there is no love lost between those two.

This is actually true. I saw it on TV today.
I don't know the full story, all I know is there seeing a consoler to try and sort their marriage.

they always do things like that. remember what they did with that couple over the prenup? (Catherine Zeta Jones and her partner)

I was channel surfing just half an hour ago, and saw a "report" on CCA & DA (so I don't know what show it was that was reporting this, but it continued on to report other entertainment type news).
What they said was something along the lines of some minor problems between them, basically Courteney's contract for Friends is another two years, which supposedly might be problematic since David (apparently) had wanted to have children soon, and Courteney's job duties on Friends might interfer with it.. and that the two are "going to the couch" (the report didn't specify, but I assume for marriage counseling).
The reported ended saying that Courteney asked the producers if being pregnant would be a problem, and was told that she could "go ahead and get knocked up."
In a UK magazine today, Courteney is supposed to be pregnant. Dr. Briefs wrote in message news:[email]...

I'm not saying that it's not true but you can't believe everything that is in these tabloid magazines because most of their stories are lies. Very very few turn out to be true.

Agreed, thats why I said we will just have to wait and see. There was another story in a UK mag called Now that said Courteney was 3 months pregnant, but that was false, as Now also reported it in 1998. But I do remember reading a story that they were having a spat over Davids wrestling fixation.

They appear to be in disagreement about when to have children and are going to a counsellor before their marriage gets into trouble, as they both feel that what they have is too good to give up on.

That's right he played a guy who was stalking Phoebe, thinking she was Ursula and then became obsessed with Phoebe.

Pick up the new issue of US magazine with Matthew Perry on the cover. They have a one page article about the rest of the cast and CCA says two things: One their marriage is better than ever, and Two, she isn't pregnant. If you can't believe it straight from her, well then believe what you will.
