S-Word in Finale

Did you all notice when Rachel is looking through her bag at the airport trying to find her boarding pass, she says, ''Shit!'' I replayed it and could not determine it was anything else. I wondered whether it was a mistake that no one cut out, or whether it was written, and if so, why would they sneak that into the final show?

I don't remember hearing it, but they did say it on one of the 7th season episodes, granted it was one of the extra bits that didn't make it to TV, but it's on the DVD set that recently came out ;^)

They do say it on Coupling though (the British one). I've heard it a few times while watching it on PBS.

Don't be so sure. For those of us who followed the series MAD ABOUT YOU you might remember the episode "Bedfellows" When Jamie and Paul are visiting Paul's dad in the hospital, Jamie asks Paul's mom if she wants company for dinner. She says no, so Jamie thinking she can earn some brownie points asks Sylvia is she would like them to spend the night. Sylvia says, "That would be very nice." So Jamie turns to Paul and in a low whisper (but loud mouthing exaggeration) says "SHIT"!

There was also an episode where Murray (the dog) is sick/depressed and Jamie tries to see if he'll "get the mouse". Jamie goes running from the livingroom toward the bedroom with her head down, pretending to chase the mouse, and runs into a door or wall. She cries out "son of a bitch!

There was also another episode I believe where she stubbed her toe & mouthed f**k under her breath

I think there is also another one one where Jamie was struggling with her panty hose and in frustration used the word shit. If I recall that was the episode where her uncle van dies. Those who have followed Helen's Career are well aware she is a potty mouth & proud of it.

So anyway Yah they could have gotten away with that.

It seems to me that the use of some of the more common curse words are popping up more & more on prime time television over these past couple of years. I know the word "bitch" was used several times on Dharma & Greg What other shows/scenes can you guys think of that included some colorful dialogue that was shockingly unexpected....

I don't know -- I was pretty shocked during the second to last episode, when Chandler and Monica were looking at a house and ran into Janice, and Monica referred to Janice's voice causing Chandler's balls to move back up into his body or something like that. Couldn't believe she got away with saying that on TV.
