I was wondering after reading a post here; which of the CAST smoke?

The reason I posted this is because, even though it is discriminatory, I DESPISE cigarettes and dislike people who use them. Correction, I have less respect for them. JMVO

Apart from anything else when C4 in the UK filmed the Friends special with Gaby Roslin (I don't *think* it was the Johnny Vaughan one), someone asked DS about his habit of clearing his throat when he spoke and he specifically said it was because he was the only non-smoker in the cast and the others' smoke sometimes got in his throat. MP then confirmed that he smoked, because there was some reference to Chandler smoking in TOW the Thumb, and how convincing his "acting" was.

That was some time ago though, and I do believe the girls all gave up.

Sorry to all you members out there, but I've found something that I can focus my anger on! Tobacco! To me, the ultimate test of a person's strength is if they smoke or not. No smoke = strong, smoke = weak as hell. I don't, and never feel like, I need to smoke to have people like me, that's a misconception. After reading this, I understand why the women of Friends are too thin. Argh!!!! I'm gonna stop, but I've got lots more to rant about!!!

Argh! This is really becoming my own personal thread. I checked out an anti-smoking page on actresses who have smoked(basically every one known to man), and it said that LK still smokes, JA hasn't been seen smoking by the press since Aug '99, and CCA has probably quit, though it is still up in the air.

WOW. It's hard to believe that all of them except David Schwimmer (Yeah, great job!) have smoked or still are smoking. Well, Lisa Kudrow has a baby so she probably stopped, and if Courteney Cox Arquette (or Jennifer Aniston!) are pregnent, their smoking should stop right now. Matt Le Blanc is engaged to that model with two kids, so better stop smoking. And Matthew Perry, gawd. He's had A LOT of trouble with health problems lately, he should DEFINATELY stop. I thought he was trying to be all healthy again...Well, none of the actors should be smoking anyways. It's so bad for you and they're setting terrible examples.

I also find it a little strange that they do smoke. People often smoke because they are very unhappy with their lives. I know this smoking could just be an addiction from their "terrible" lives ten years ago, but their lives now are nothing to be depressed about. First of all, they are all multi-millionaires. They have a steady job, are very well-known (which could actually be depressing, so nevermind that one), and seem to be happy. And heck! Jennifer is married to Brad Pitt. I believe that CCA gave it up, but I think LK still smoked when she was pregnant and continues to do so. JA probably does as well.

I still don't know what's going on with MLB. The thing with MP is that one day, he will get an ultimatum from his doctor. Debra Messing (Will and Grace) got one from her doctor ("you either quit or I'll have to put you in Intensive Care"), so she quit and since then has done some work for the American Cancer society.

I don't smoke, but I really don't think it's fair for people to pass judgement on smokers. Calling it things like having a weak will is just your opinion, and it might be offensive to some people who do smoke. I know a lot of people who do smoke, and they all have told me they really want to quit. Instead of villifying smokers, why don't you vilify tye tabacco industry who makes them more addictive than heroin? The same industry who marketed cigarretes to kids and lied about it. Many people choose to smoke when they're younger than the legal age to smoke.

Don't tell me that when you were a kid you were never tempted by something that you weren't supposed to do. It's part of growing up. Unfortunately kids don't often listen and find themselves addicted to a terrible habit. I'm just greatful I never did.

FINALLY!!! Someone with a brain! I have stopped myself every time I've seen this thread because I didn't want to start a big argument. But now I feel that I have to say something. I have been smoking for about 13 years now and I KNOW that I am not a weak person. I know you're entitled to your own opinion but if you've never smoked then you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm going to stop now before I start ranting.
