I know how they taped it - and in particular, the lengths they went to with the "revealing the father" scenes. (They blocked off the audience view of sets and showed the relevant scenes on monitors.) The only way it isn't Ross is if the producers are stupid enough to throw something completely out of left-field and produce two fake-outs in the same taping - and that's not my "want them back together" side speaking, why else would they do what they have done. I totally agree with you ! It's why I also think that Ross *is* the father. I also think that it could be a good choice to make Ross and Rachel's back together I don't think Tag is the father 'cause David Crane said that the father is an actual character of Friends .. I was also said that the name of the father will be reveled on the 8.03 or 8.04 (that is true)

In France we also heard a funny rumor said that Gunther will be the father ... It will be the worth think on friends.. and i think it's 99,99% untruth !

Tina, Can you answer a few questions about Friends tickets, since you actually went to the show. When did you send your request and when did you receive your tickets? ALso what time did you arrive to the studio? The reason I am asking is that I sent away for mine on the 29th or so of MAy and still do not know if i am one of the lucky ones to get tickets. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody else think that that would be a totally stupid plot line? I think it would be funnier and more exciting if the father was an existing character. Much more surprising. And as if Rachel could carry on a secret affair without anybody knowing. I mean its possible, but unlikely. Plus she knows what its like to have a friend keep something like that quiet (happened with Chandler and Monica and it made her feel really bad) and wouldn't want to do that to all her friends. Thats what i think anyway.

I feel kinda bad doing this cuz boarder had a thing going, but Im gonna post it because if it was me spoiler searching, I'de be kinda mad....I got in to the taping from about 6:30-8 but I asked people around what kinda happened before so I have some idea..you'de havta get it out of boarder for the whole spoiler.....well...here it is...

802: TOW Red Sweater

Heres what I heard happened before I got in:

Joey proposed to Pheebs (I think he thought it was her that was pregnant) and she said yes! but then later in the episode, Joey found out it was Rach who was pregnant (but Rach didnt know this yet). (I'm sure other small things happened, but this was all that I heard was really important). Also, I didnt get any details about the scene, but somehow, Mon, Joey and Pheebs find out that the guy that got Rach pregnant had left his red sweater.

Now, heres what I saw:

Joey found the red sweater in his and Rach's apartment and Pheebs saw it, grabbed it and said "I know who the father is!" or something like that, then she took it into Mon and Chans apartment and the scene ended.

Now, Rach, Mon, Joey and Pheebs are in Mon and Chandlers apartment and Rach once again says that she isn't ready to tell who the father is. Then Joey tells Rach that he knows it's her thats pregnant and he hugs her and says hes really happy. This was really sweet! He then gets on one knee and proposes!!! Rach of course says no and Phoebe says she's very hurt (she said this very funny!) but she says she will take Joey back.

This is in Mon and Chans apartmane - Monica manages to open all of her and Chandlers wedding gifts without Chandler and she feels very bad. Ross, (possibly Joey too, but its not important) and Chandler walk in and Monica diverts their attention from the opened gifts and Chandler shows her wedding pictures he supposedly got developed. Chan shows her one of him and Mon kissing but she then pulls out the bag of undeveloped cameras and says something like "Thats wierd cuz look what I found in our bag!" and he apologizes and says he'll go develop the pictures right away. He turns around and sees the opened gifts and is not happy. He looks at Mon and she says "You kissed another girl!" (very funny) and he says, "Call this even?" and they agree and high five eachother! Ross starts to leave cuz he has to get his flowers into water and Pheebs thinks he stole them from the wedding but he says he got them from the hotel lobby. He then delivers this hilarioius line that I'm not even gonna try and transcribe here, Ill make you wait for the episode. As Ross is leaving, he looks on a table and picks up the red sweater and says "My sweater!!! I've been looking for this for like a month!" OMIGOD! The crowd went WILD! People were like crying and stuff....it was great!

Now, heres the Tag scene which is outside CP - Ross is walking down the street in his red sweater and he sees Tag. They stop and say hi to eachother and Tag has the exact same red sweater on!!!! They compliment eachother on their sweaters and Tag says something like "Isn't this Rachel thing wild?" and Ross says something like "Yeah, you know Rachel, she's a wild girl!" (Ross is obviously kinda lost at this point) And Tag says "Who's is it?" And Ross thinks he talking about the brand of his shirt and he says "look at your own tag" and they walk away from eachother. Ross has this look on his face like Tag is crazy cuz Ross has no idea Rach is pregnant!

So, thats what I saw and we're left with Tag and Ross as our two most likely father possibilities right now and Joey and Pheebs might possibly still be enganged! (but probly not)....

As far as bloopers and stuff, not much happened when I was there....Julian was ther and looking very vute. Also, it was Matthew's birthday so we all sang to him and he had a cake. And, matthew was palying basketball with some kid on the set...it was so cute! Now, keep in mind that I did not see the beginning so some of it may be confusing or not make sense but that just means it probably is to me too...I tried my best!

Boarder, if u read this, you can correct any mistakes I've made or share your bloopers if you want....and what do u look like cuz I may have seen u there....

Now i have a few questions: Rachel has known about her pregnancy for only a few days. So, i guess she could have been pregant for a couple weeks or a month. Ross couldn't find his sweater for a month. So if he IS the father, then they slept together a while ago. Why? And why is Ross hitting on that girl at the wedding? Frankly, i'm doubtful that Ross is the father. It can't be tag, cause he didn't know who the dad was (and i assume rachel would tell him first if it's his kid). I think it'll be a one night stand. Everybody's talking about Brad Pitt gues starring. I don't know. I just don't know..

Not gonna stop people speculating, though. Certain people just don't seem to understand that if Brad Pitt was going to appear in the show, it would literally be *everywhere*. Besides, Mr. Pitt playing Mrs. Pitt's on-screen love interest just wouldn't work - for the most part, people accept real life and their TV shows as being in two universes, they tend not to like it when the line is crossed, especially in comedy.

...I'm just glad it's not Joey or Chandler. I could have put up with it being Tag, but either Joey or (especially) Chandler and I would probably have not bothered. I just hope that now, they don't screw it up (and getting in Brad Pitt as the father would definitely fall under the "screwing it up" threshold).

The father is, indeed, without question, Ross. No ifs, no ands, no buts. He's the one. He and Rachel had a fling the previous month but had not expected to continue the romantic relationship beyond that one freebie. This changes the dynamic considerably, and indications are that while Ross continues to be a dork, he's also more supportive and caring than he's been in some time. He's going to be a real character this year instead of just a cartoon. We will see if this actually leads to a permanent reunion or not, but I strongly suspect they will be a very strong presence, and the final will-they/won't-they question will be a major storyline this year. Monica and Chandler continue to do much of their work together, so there is some danger that Phoebe and Joey will get lost in the peripheral edges even more than they already do.

And...I'm Ba-ack. This is what it took!

Good to see you again, Claire. Looks like we win, reunion or not. :)

I'm looking forward to the restoration of Ross' character, almost as much as I'm looking forward to R&R's interaction this season. It has been long overdue. Reunion or not, I haven't be this excited about the show in a long time.

With R&R locked in the pregnancy storyline, and the writers' continuing unwillingness to separate C&M for more than two minutes, it does appear that J&P will be left out in the cold this final season. I'm hoping the writers will at least allow Joey become a big movie star by the end of the show. And maybe Hank Azaria will return so Phoebe and David The Scientist Guy can ride off into the sunset together.

Hopefully others will follow....

In this case, it seems extraordinarily careless that Rachel allowed herself to get knocked up (but perhaps their respective subconciouses took over?) :)

We already know he's a good father though, so that aspect won't be in doubt.

Regardless, having a baby together would inextricably link R&R, whether or not they formally decide to get back together.
