Rachel's pregnancy... strangely familiar?

Hey... most of you probably won't remember this, but a looong time ago ('97-'98) I wrote a fan-fic series called "Chandler & Monica," back during the time when Ross and Rachel were the only romantic prospect on the real show. There were some strange parallels between that fan-fic and the real show over the years, but the one in this year's season finale take the cake.

I can't stay quiet about this any longer. In an episode I wrote called "Fourth & One," Chandler found a positive pregnancy test in the bathroom trash, assumed it was Monica's, wacky antics ensued, and then it was revealed that the test actually belonged to Rachel. In this year's season finale, Phoebe and Rachel find a positive pregnancy test in the bathroom trash, assume it was Monica's, wacky antics ensued, and then it was revealed that the test actually belonged to Rachel.

Does anyone else who remembers "Chandler & Monica" find this weird?

Dan- how could anyone forget you?! That was only the best fan-fic ever written. When the show started going downhill last season I went back to "Chandler and Monica" for a substitute. Anyway, I do remember the deal with Rachel's pregnancy test and some other similarities that have happened over the last couple years. Someone on the production and/or writing staff seems to have read your stories and liked what they saw!

There have been several times over the past two years where I was watching Friends and had a nagging feeling that the writers were, in their own subtle way, acknowledging the website. The pregnancy test was a big one; also, a couple weeks ago in the episode where Susan Sarandon guest-starred, her character's last name was Lockhart, which was Gunther's last name in C&M. Of course, it could be a coincidence, but I've never really believed in coincidence. :)

I don't even know if the C&M scripts are still available on the Web. Maybe its time for a rerelease.
