i saw the preview last night for the may episodes...looks good, but they said somehting about hour long eppies in may? could that be, or were they probably just talking about the season finale?

They will be showing back to back repeats on 18-April and 25-April. Then on 2-May and 9- May they will have a new ep followed by a repeat. However, the comment to which you are referring I believe concerns the season finale on 16-May, TOW Rachel Has A Baby, Parts I & II.

In the real world that would be true. However, season 8 started on the wedding day as well. So, it could have been May or September. For that matter, it could have been any date between. If you use September and assume she was a few weeks into it by the wedding, then May 2002 would be appropriate.

I see what you mean, it's just that every Friends season counts as one year (someone correct me if I'm wrong) which means it's over twelve months when she has the baby. Although they might have taken this into account judging by the title of 821 TOW Rachel's late.

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I have heard that this is true. It makes sense when you consider that a woman can only stretch so much, yet a premature birth could be months in advance.
My mother was one to have late births. My oldest brother was born nearly 10 months after my dad went overseas with the Navy. It's a darn good thing for my mother that he looks just like my dad.

Seriously though, the family was quietly wondering when the conception actually took place and if he was really the father. It was 1946. People had become accustomed to "unusual" things happening during the war from what I hear.
