Jennifer Aniston vs. her mom?

Actress Jennifer Aniston has blasted reports she has reconciled with her mother Nancy and says the pair are still estranged. The Friends star cut off her relationship with her mom after Nancy publicly humiliated her daughter on a TV show five years ago. Jen was embarrassed further when her mother, who she once described as, "a chunk of disease," wrote a book From Mother And Daughter To Friends in 1999. In August it was reported the actress had made up with Nancy, after she once sobbed during an interview, saying how sad it was that Nancy hadn't met her husband or been to the wedding. But Jennifer has denied any reconciliation. She says, "There's been no discussion and I don't know where that came from. So no, not right now. Does anyone know what the so-called humiliating incident was about? If it's true, then my only comment would be what sad little lives these people lead.

she did an interview for some tabloid thing (a tv show, I think). she basically gave in to the media push that lead to everyone wanting to know everything about everyone in the lime light. also, she wrote a book about jen's life(as well as hers), almost marketing on her daughter. i am sure there are other reasons why jennifer does not speak to her mother. but that is what is known. it is not petty, these things happen. people lose touch with family members all the time, and if you are hurt by someone, esp. someone you love, the last thing you want is to deal with the person. how can you trust them? even if they are your parent.

I've also heard that Jen's mom was highly critical of Jennifer when she was growing up, causing JA to have a really bad self-image that took many years to overcome.

Donna My opinions might have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

Yes, JA has said things about her mother and the fact that she was a model, and she would tell her how to make herself pretty or what not. And things like that. I am sure that messed with her head, but at the same time, I am sure there is more behind the story that we do not know and shouldn't. just my opinion.
