Being in the UK, I haven't seen the final episode, but I wondered if it was left vaguely enough that any of the women could be pregnant ??
They have three happily (?) married actresses in their mid 30s, with time on their hands over the summer, at least one of them is going to come back pregnant in the autumn.
I don't think the writers have decided who's pregnant yet themselves !! ;o)

I don't know...guess they can always do the exact oppositie to keep us guessing.....Did they write Lisa Kudrow's pregnancy into the show?? Or did she already have her baby when they started that "pregnant with tripelets" story?

Yes it was written in - she was further along than her character, so I think thats why they made it triplets !

For Phoebe to be pregnant, they'd also have to explain how she became considerably stupider, too--why else would she take the pg test, leave wrap it in tissues, drop it in Monica's trash can, then pull it out and say, "Wow, Monica's pregnant"?

I don't think so, since Rachel was clearly gazing off in another direction, crying, which is what allowed her not to notice that Phoebe was handing her used tissues [ew!] from the trash can. It was clear that Phoebe was aware that Rachel wasn't looking, especially when Rach asked for another tissue and Phoebe prepared to do some more digging in the [ew!] trash. Remember that Phoebe was surprised to discover "a lot of tissues" at the bottom--if she'd put them there herself, she'd surely remember having wrapped the test in "a lot of tissues." Also, if Phoebe had been the one to throw out the test there, I doubt she would have been so willing to go on a kleenex hunt there.
Also, why would Phoebe keep bringing up "Monica's" pregnancy if she were concealing her own? For example, when Rachel was about to seek out another minister to perform the wedding in case Joey didn't show up, Phoebe said, "Don't mention that the bride is pregnant." Then after the ceremony, Phoebe made the comment to Rachel about how wonderful it was that Chandler and Monica were going to be parents. If she were concealing her own pregnancy, I doubt she would have said those things, even as a deflecting tactic.

I didn't watch the season finale...someone said that there are 3 30 something girls on this show....one is bound to come back preggos....that's what I was talking about....she could end up pregnant and NOT write it into the show....

There will be a 4-5 month real-time gap from the time of the season's finale to the fall debut. Unless they want to pick up the story five months after the wedding, I'd say that this aspect is being left wide open for eventualities with the three actresses.
Exactly. Unless they tape eps. in the early summer (which ain't gonna happen!), they would be too far along in the fall to have it make any sense. They're just keeping their options wide open.

When Lisa Kudrow got pregnant with her son, the writers decide to allow Phoebe to become a surragote(sp) mother to her half-brother, Frank Buffay, Jr., and his new wife, Alice, since the newlyweds were unable to conceive themselves.
After she gave birth to them (TOW The Hundredth Episode), she wanted to raise one of them, but was denied. :-( (This is also a poor excuse to write off Frank Jr. I happen to like him.)
