SUPERSTAR MYSTERY GUEST DROPS BY FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER -- Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) is pleased to run into an old high school friend (a surprise mystery guest) who was the only one fatter than she was, so she invites him to Thanksgiving dinner with the gang -unaware that he’s not exactly a fan of Rachel (Jennifer Aniston). Meanwhile, Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) pretend to be enthralled with a televised football game so that they can avoid helping Monica in the kitchen while Joey (Matt LeBlanc) vows to polish off the entire turkey single-handedly.

At Monica's Halloween party, Phoebe meets the friendly fiance (Oscar-nominated guest star Sean Penn, "Dead Man Walking") of her ditsy twin Ursula (also played by Lisa Kudrow) but becomes alarmed when she learns that her sister has misrepresented herself to her trusting future in-law. What's more, Phoebe finds herself attracted to him as well. Elsewhere at the shindig, Monica comes disguised as Catwoman and wonders if she could take down Phoebe's Supergirl character while Chandler arrives as a bunny and mistakes Ross' giant hybrid "Spud-nik" costume for something found on a sidewalk. In addition, Rachel runs out of candy and resorts to paying trick-or-treaters.

OK, a question. Does Rachel "run out of candy" or does she eat it all, and so Monica (and the children) don't get angry with her she dips into her pocket and pay the trick-or-treaters.

I think people are confused with the whole Sean Penn thing...HE IS NOT THE SURPRISE GUEST...Sean Penn plays Eric, a second grade teacher engaged to Ursula, the mystery guest is another Lincoln High alum who used to be fat like Monica. She tells the gang that she has invited him over for Turkey Dinner, nervous because he and Rachel are enemies. Probably, she used to tease him for being so fat, and now Rachel will be like six months pregnant and this guy will be in shape.

I don't know what this RNCat Text is, but I live in America, and trust me, the surprise on Thanksgiving is not Sean Penn. He appears in this weeks episode (11/1/01) and next week's (11/8/01). These two are his only scheduled episodes for the time being and Sean Penn plays Eric, Ursula's fiancee who Phoebe meets at the Bings' Halloween party. The mystery guest we are talking about shows up at Thanksgiving Dinner (11/22/01) and the mystery is who plays the character, described as a high school friends of Monica's. I've seen the ads promoting the Thanksgiving episode, and Sean Penn is seen in them. So, if there was a mistery about his appearance before, the cat is out of the bag. On the other hand, I'm in favor of Brad Pitt mystery cameo.

Are you sure you've seen the THANKSGIVING promo and not the HALLOWEEN promo...Sean Penn is only scheduled to show up in the Halloween ep and the 11/08/01 ep. The Thanksgiving ep. is on 11/22/01 and remember, Sean Penn plays Eric, Ursula's fiancee. The mystery guest plays Monica's high school chum, so it couldn't be Sean Penn...I think you are confused cause I am sure they haven't started promos for the Thanksgiving episode!

I don't like the idea of having Brad Pitt on the show at all! Can you say "Trying too hard". But it would make sense that he have a cameo on the Thanksgiving show if Rachel is to choose between him and Ross later. They can't just throw Brad Pitt into the mix on the last show and have Rachel choose. She would have to have some history there between her and Brad's character for it to be realistic.
