Hmm...kewl!

      Where is the last place you would think FRIENDS would be? I was flippin'
through my Algebra book yesterday after deciding not to do my assignment, and
low-and-behold on page 233, there is a little round picture of Rachel and Ross
at Central Perk! I'm guessing it's from the 1st or 2nd season. Next to the pic
is math Example 1,**** "Suppose Central Perk coffee shop sells a cup of
espresso for $2.00 and a cup of cappuccino for $2.50. On Friday, Rachel sold 30
more cups of cappuccino than espresso, and she sold $178.50 worth of espresso
and cappuccino. How many cups of each were sold?"****   Interesting. Made the
mistake of telling my also FRIENDS obsessed friend about it. He cut it
out...people got mad. ;)   BTW, if anyone wants to know, the answer is 23 cups
of espresso sold, and 53 cups of cappiccino sold.

My sister (still at school) had a similar question except it was based on the circumference of a central perk coffee mug... the lengths they go to just to get you to take an interest hey!

Hi. I'm new to the newsgroup. First time posting =). This comment just struck me as kind of funny because I've never seen Friends mentioned in my algebra book, but for the past 2 years in a row my english teachers have used the Ross/Rachel thing to illustrate conflicts and plots and stuff. It's interesting. =)
