Is there a Friends ng for only people in america? Because I always see topics that say something about a new episode, and its always someone from the UK or somewhere else, and its about an episode i've already seen like 2 months ago. I dont mean this to be offensive to anyone, I was just wondering. Thanks!! -Kat

No. This is *the* Friends newsgroup. uk.media.tv.friends is one just for us brits, created partly because some people want to discuss Friends (shown months later in the UK) without risking seeing spoilers for new episodes. Those of us, like me, who want to read spoilers come here too. When people like Paul crosspost episode summaries here I would imagine its to draw in a wider opinion, which usually works quite well. I think the uk.* hierarchy isn't available outside the UK. Whether there is a us.* hierarchy I have no idea. Generally though, if you look in here the day after a new episode has aired in the US you'll see plenty of new material. I think i'd be right in saying that nothing new (except maybe a clip show?) has aired in the US for 1 or 2 months now, which often causes a lull in US posts. After the finale stuff dies down you have to expect more UK posts because they are still seeing the show, and after July you have to contend with the lowest of the low, us Sky-less Channel 4 UK viewers who finally get to see season 6. Has to be said we do tend to stick to the uk group cos nobody in here wants to discuss episodes for the third time :)

To the original questioner whose name has been snipped: try alt.tv.friends.northamerica. There is nothing stopping US readers reading uk.media.tv.friends, to the best of my knowledge, they just need a newsserver that carries it.
Yep. Furthermore, Katrina was *not* worrying about spoilers, quite the opposite, for she was slightly perturbed by seeing some 'old' episodes described as "new" episodes.
It sure has seemed like that but actually thats not all together true. We saw a new episode 2 weeks from this thursday then 2 weeks from then we saw another one..we had 3 in the last 4 in the last 2 months..

yep I always post my review of the episode and there are others that do the same.
Keep your eyes peeled for topics with spoiler in the title; that way you know it's one we haven't seen, we don't know anything about and we can't spoil your fun. Mind you that won't stop us commenting...
