Just out of curiousity, how much is the dole/welfare in America for a single person thats unemployed?

Hmm $1.62 to the � is its current rate, so that's about �170 a week, a lot of people work a full a full 40 hr week for that. LOL Over here job seekers allowance is nation wide �54.63 a week or $88.50.

The MAXIMUM allowed for my state is $275 per week. That doesn't mean that every unemployed person in Tennessee gets $275 a week. Each person's compensation is based on their last rate of salary from the job they just left. The amount could range between $100 - $275. ~~~ Kathy
