My Life as a Theme Song

Getting Better

I've actually done a whole tape of theme songs that if someone were to do a movie on my life they would have to use. But the song that I call my theme song is Day By Day, by Doug and the Slugs. When I first heard it back in the early 80s as a teen, I thought, Hey, someone's written a song about me. It just represents my outlook on life, and it picks me up when I forget what that outlook is.

Bad new, don't ruin my appetite Don't let the papers tell me it's wrong or right I just do what I do and I take it day by day by day by day

I speak up when I feel it's right I jump up when I know that I have to fight I just know what I know and I take it day by day by day by day
