Epsiode 803

Thought I'd give my input on the episode as well. I rarely ever do, so.... I thought this was one of the better episodes, and I laughed hysterically. Some of my favorite lines: "I lived with Monica. You had to eat fast, or you didn't EAT AT ALL!"- Ross & "They should put in BIG BOLD LETTERS!"- Ross

	There were others, but I throughly enjoyed this episode.  I never
understood why Rachel was so worried Ross wouldn't own up on responisbility
for the child- he loves Ben, his first child to death, doesn't he? But this
was an awesome episode to say the least. I especially loved Ross, and he
isn't always my top of the list charcter.
	To say on a sad note, I miss the old Chandler.... does any one else? These
last 2-3 seasons, he has just lossed his... zip, I guess you could say. I
loved the old Chandler, and the writers just stopped being creative on
Chandler's part.  I don't really care how he looks, I just miss the
Chandler funniness..."Stop the Q-tip whent here is resistance!"
	I hope the writers continue to keep up this hilarious act, but don't ware
it out.  Let's keep our fingers crossed and knock on wood!!! Later all....

Ok. Did the whole Rachel telling Ross thing seem horrible anti-climactic to anyone else? Call me an incurable romantic, but with the HISTORY between these two, and their never failing love for each other, the whole scene just seemed to be a little too comedic. It was a little uncharacteristic for Ross. I mean, COME ON - The man is a PhD, but doesnt know condoms fail occasionally? I'm a little disappointed - but I'm probably just stuck in the whole "TOW Ross Finds Out" and "TOW The List" feeling between these two. Pure emotion and romance..the sense that they can't live without each other.

And of course they'll get married!! What else are sweeps months for??

Oh, and best line - Phoebe screaming "Brand New Information!" She has always been and will always be my fave friend.

The show's idocy on this point is really getting irritating. First Monica's inane comments about how only STUPID people get pregnant on accident, then the whole "comdoms don't always work?" scenario. For cripes's sake, Ross already has had an unexpected child, and I find it hard to believe that a bunch of sexually active people in their early '30s are completely blind to the idea of people getting pregnant on accident.

The last few minutes made up for it, though.

And, while I can believe Joey isn't aware that condoms are only about 97% effect, I have a problem with Ross not knowing it. Course, I also had a problem with Chandler not knowing, at least, the technical aspects of how to please a woman, whether he was any good at it or not.

(While we're on the condom topic, if a couple has sex twice a week, that means in a year they've had sex about a hundred times. That means three times the condoms have failed.)

I think writers we using a bit of dramatic licence. Aren't they 97% effective if used twice a week for a year? Thus on any one occasion they are 100*(0.97)^(1/100) = 99.97% effective.
