LALEVEE, there a problem with www.friendsnet.fr.fm/../episode2.php3 ?

Hi Lalevee, I've managed to download 123 Mb (out of 197) of the zip file from the site above, and now Bobdown has completely stopped , and will not connect, nor download the leftover of the finals. I have tried all the basics, such as restart, over and over reconnecting to my ISP, but it just won;t continue downloading !!!

What's happening, is it on your side? Or what, it's been going on so well until about half an hour ago, (it's now 22.45 here in UK).

Also I noticed it is automatically redirecting now the site to http://frienet.host.sk/episode2.php3 .

I have just downloaded again the 823 bobfile from this site, but that one starts the process all over again from ZERO , and into an exe file not zip file!!!!!!!!!! That's not fair!!!!!!!!!

Please do not tell me I have to start all over again, with 56K modem, and every 2hr disconnections by my ISP, it was a hard work getting 123Mb, and I simply cannot start again, please do not tell me file has been moved or, I cannot continue downloading to a same zipped file it has already downloaded from the start!

Please let us continue downloading to the same zip file how it started, surely you can sort this out!

If you highlight the list in Bobdown and then click on the white tab with black lines (on the top left), you can then choose which files you want to download ...

No I am using 823vo.bob file, as I started downloading today around 1pm. (I have tried 823vo2.bob file which is downloding fine, but NOT in the same zipped file as the one previously, instead it's downloding it into 97 separate exe and rar files, and it's started to do it ALL OVER AGAIN -which I do not want to do as have 56k modem).

This is what I get on 823vo.bob:

1st line :

Well that's normal ! The 1st doesn't work anymore. If you use this one: 823vo2.bob and download the files in the same folders as the 1st one, you're downloads will just continue without having to download everything again ...

What is normal ? The 1st was working fine all day yesterday, then it sudenly stopped it seems when the websites swapped.

Can you pls look again at the notes I send you and the errors, and tell me what they mean.

See you are saying that if I put them in the same folder, it will continue running. It does, but the first file is still marked as error(and not terminee), probably because I managed to download 123Mb, and the file is suppose to be only about 97Mb. So will it work or not at the end? I just cannot waste another full day of downloading only to find out it doesn;t work again.It's really not fun with 56K modem. Perhaps you can make the 823vo.bob work again instead, so I can continue where I and probably other people started.

Well, if it was working yesterday and not today anymore, it's just that the files have been deleted off the server and the account where they were, closed.

Perhaps you can clarify it for me, so I stop wasting my time. Also if you make any changes in the next 24hrs and start moving files around again, perhaps you can let people know in advance here on the board? Thank you.

Easy pal. You know, Lalevee does not need to do this, he does it as a favour. I can understand that you are upset and annoyed, but nobody "sabotaged" your download on purpose. It seems like a really odd error anyways, and if you keep getting disconnected from your ISP every 2 hours, there's something really wrong there as well.

Agreed, and I didn;t say it was on purpose, so I asked more then once as to what the errors mean and how I can solve them.

No it isn't. It is a standard for most ISP's in UK to disconnect you every hour or every two hours.

Well, the problems comes both from your system and Bobdown, because some don't have any problem downloading the ZIP files ...

OH MY!!!!

Your site doesn't support resuming the download !!!! Don't you consider people who have 2 hourly disconnections by the ISP?

And another 20 Mb wasted! That's 123+95+20= 238Mb of about 10Mb an hour, so I wasted almost full 24hrs ! I have no strenght doing this anymore Thomas. I'm out. Going back to Kazaa.

My system is absolutely fine. Being in IT I know a bit about it, and make sure all is running smoothly, which it is.
