Yes, I saw the two movies. My opinion is the reverse of yours, though, I think the first one was better and the second was completely off the wall - just a contrived story to get the two main characters "stranded" together on a remote island ... blah - and I found the storyline didn't really make sense. Then again, I was sick when I saw it, so perhaps I missed some vital plot points! I taped both movies, fully intended to watch the second one again, and never got round to it, then I heard the news that they'd canned the proposed third movie, and the show's creators dropped off the face of the earth, their website vanished, and I felt disinclined to invest any more time rewatching something that was ultimately going nowhere. (The show's creators had promised that if there was no TV resolution, they'd write one and put it on the website - a promise they reneged on).

I think it was stupid football, not stupid baseball. ;) Some football-meets-the-WWF garbage, NBC really dropped the ball (no pun intended) on that one! Stank up the ratings something bad. They axed three good home-grown drama series to lay that turkey egg.

But I voted for the Pretender DVDs anyway, if they put them out and they sell well it might motivate them to finally wind things up for the fans. It really ticks me off when networks cancel shows that end on a cliffhanger. It's disrespectful to the fans who delivered the show's good ratings in the first place, and sends the message "we don't really care about you". I know they don't, but I'd rather not have it rubbed in. :(

I agree with you there, it was really confusing. The first movie didn't advance the overall plot at all (or answer many unanswered questions for that matter), and the second one was just too much information to keep up with, I really want a diagram on all the blood relations within the Centre. As for the two main characters being stranded on an island, I remember reading an article somewhere that said Michael T. Weiss was more of a stranger to nearly all of the co-stars, since he hardly had scenes with any of them, especially Andrea Parker complained about that - so maybe that's how that came about. And at the end of the day, I quite enjoyed the scene where she changes and Jarrod accidentally walks in on her (for everybody who hasn't seen the movie, you only see a shadow, but still ;) ) but I can see why women wouldn't really care for that particular scene...

OMFG! The XFL?? I used to watch Conan O'Brien on NBC Europe (and even Leno when I was bored), he really took the piss out of that one. I thought it was like actual NFL or Major League Baseball (is that what it's called?) stuff they cancelled it for, but for the XFL??? Christ, that's.... I'm gonna have to punch somebody now.

Yeah, who knows, Fox usually produces quite neat DVD sets (the Fight Club Special Edition 2-Disc Set to name one), with quite extensive bonus material, so if they do get round to it, it might be quite worthwhile. And I could get my diagram of blood relations, animated, three-dimensional and all :)

You can solve it by simply migrating to a Mozilla based client as well ;) Your headers don't say much about your OS (or your reader for that matter) but there's Mozilla ports for just about anything, so there should be one for you as well :P
