OT: Weddings...for those who'd like to know

Wow, talk about "long time, no see (hear/type/etc)"! :) I think it's only proper that I share with those of you who've been around atf long enough the latest news. Somehow, if everyone here weren't privy (no, I'm not talking about outhouses here) to 'Nise's and my plans, it wouldn't feel "complete". So, without any further ado, I'd like to let everyone know that Denise and I are *finally* getting married (divorces, and the different state laws surrounding them, can be a real bitch)! We're "gettin' hitched" on Valentine's Day in a small, justice-of-the-peace type, ceremony.

I'm sure all of atf's "old-timers" know how important this ng has been to us...and how many true friends we feel we've made here. I'm looking forward to taking some time this week (before the wedding) playing "catch-up" with the ng. I hope everyone's doing well!

DionysianDon (who's busy now trying to knock the rust off his posting skills...and mumbles something that vaguely sounds like "oil can". :)

Cue lots of screaming and waving over here! Well done you guys!!!! (And I'll forward this to Matt who is not reading ATF atm)

OMG, I am so happy about this. Shame you didn't tell us far enough in advance to get a card or something out to you...

I don't do this much any more -- these days I haunt elsewhere -- but after Jac forwarded me your original post I had to come back, if only for one post.

Anyways, I really just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS, and may you both find everything that you need, and just enough of what you want not to get complacent. ;)

My best to you both, and to the younglings (some of whom I guess may not be so young any more.)

As to server problems, I have decided that there are gremlins on usenet. I have never heard of anyone who gets all the messages from a newsgroup.

There are known problems with the server here -- they have some newfangled satellite system on the roof but it's not fully functional yet. It's only taking them (not POBox, BTW, but the actual ISP to which that forwards my mail) six months to get it together!

As to honeymoons, Don and I took two days off from work, our wedding day (or weeding, if you prefer, Jacqui :) and the day after. No time for a honeymoon right now, I'm afraid.
