The way *no-one* ever corrects him when he says something stupid!

That drives me nuts, just as it did on Friends.

Well, Chandler used to be sarcastic instead of actually correcting him...

Few times someone does correct him, its a lead in for another joke...

One of my favorite Friends episodes with Joey was the time that he said "it's a moo point - moo, you know, cows..." But I think that Rachel corrected him that time.

You're right though...mostly the friends crew didn't correct him. I thought they made his character progressively dumber over the seasons.

Actually, Rachel asked him for clarification, and the explanation he returned to her was "Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion - it doesn't matter. It's moo."

I hate the fact that he became so dumb that it's hard to understand how he could survive. If you look at the early Friends episodes he wasn't bright, but there was at least some light in the dark. During Friends he became dumber and dumber and now he's so dumb that I'm waiting for him to forget breathing.

Going offtopic a bit here - I never really got into Joey, but have any of the old Friends cast made an appearance yet? If so, which episode please.
